Pierre Valet got two first prizes with honors (viola and chamber music) in Besançon conservatoire. Then he studied simultaneously for a master degree at the Conservatoire supérieur in Bordeaux with Tasso Adamopoulos and he took part in a string quartet training course at the conservatoire supérieur in Geneva with Gabor Takacs. He graduated two years later with two first prizes. Then he dedicated himself to playing on period instruments with famous musicians such as Simon Heyerick and Chiara Banchini.
His training leads him to perform in France as well as abroad (Barbican center London, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Wiener Konzerthaus, Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall Tokyo, Opéra Bastille and Théâtre des Champs Elysées Paris, Opéra Royal du Château de Versailles, etc.), as well as with numerous ensembles such as l’ensemble Pymalion, Le concert d’Astrée, Le Concert Spirituel, Le Poème Harmonique, Les Nouveaux Caractères, l’ensemble Pulcinella, l’ensemble Unisoni, Le Parlement de musique, and under the baton of several famous conductors such as Louis Langrée, Hervé Niquet, Raphael Pichon, David Greilsammer, Leonardo García Alarcón, etc
In addition he regularly performs with orchestras such as l’Opéra de Saint-Etienne, l’Orchestre des pays de Savoie, l’Orchestre symphonique OSE or l’Orchestre de chambre de Genève.
He plays regularly chamber music with Mira Glodeanu, Alexis Kossenko, Chiara Banchini. And he won a diapason d’or in 2014 with Ophelie Gaillard for their interpretation of C.P.E Bach’s works.
